Term 2 Reflections on termly performance and growth development in Science

Term 2: Reflections on termly performance and growth development in Science

In this term, we did Chemistry and covered various topics, including that of the periodic table and atoms, touching slightly on molecular structure and other confusing scientific concepts. The elements, the atomic number, the periodic table, the structure of an atom, its electrons and everything else didn't make sense to me at all. I faced many challenges during the learning journey and time to time again. However, I studied hard but in the end, I did not do well in this Science test, which was way below my standard.

However, I believe that the lack of my time management was also one reason why I didn't do well in my test, besides the inability of the application of concepts. I had many commitments to concentrate on. Therefore, this resulted in me starting a whole term's revision one week or days before the exam. I ran around crazily, seeking help from all my peers and Mr Lim after school, trying to clear all my doubts on scientific topics as soon as possible. Fortunately for me, my peers and especially Eugene were more than willing to help me out with my revision and managed to salvage some marks. I really like to thank my friends and classmates for the help, the tuition and support that they have provided. I sincerely hope that I would do well the next term. I felt that I could have done better in the test, due to some careless mistakes, etc. I also feel that there is a need to change my studying strategy for Science as I have not been doing well. I MUST strive to do better next term!

In a nutshell, Term 2 was certainly a bumpy ride. I believe that there are many mistakes that I can learn from and I am actually glad that I was given the chance to find my flaws and correct them. Hopefully, Term 3 would be a better, more engaging and interesting term. Studying hard now!
